MEET MAESTRA LESLI:
TEACHING: FROM TEGUCIGALPA TO SEATTLE
I was born and raised in Honduras. I trained as a teacher in Tegucigalpa and taught preschool through 5th grade for two years before coming to Seattle in 2004 in search of new opportunities.
I got married and now have a son in elementary school and a daughter in high school. As a family, we started our own small business which we ran for a number of years before I felt the call to return to teaching. This is when I began working at a local Language School in Ballard, until the pandemic started and they closed.
ESTRELLITAS IS FOUNDED
I started teaching a number of student family pods when the schools closed down during the pandemic. My teaching practice grew and I now have three groups for Spanish Immersion learning: morning, afternoon, and afterschool.
I created Estrellitas Spanish Learning for kids with one goal in mind: to give families like mine the opportunity to immerse their children in the Spanish language and culture. As a mother of two children, I know the importance of bilingual education.

WHO WE ARE:
We are a team of native-speaking, experienced teachers who are committed to not only nourishing our students in their language learning but also sharing our own culture and traditions. Our cultural heritages are very diverse as we have teachers from different Spanish-speaking countries.
